VI COMMANDO

Prt. Harry Moore, formerly of the Leicestershire Regiment, served with No. 6 Commando from, at least, 5^th June 1944.

Prt. Harry Moore was reported as being Killed In Action (KIA) on 13th June 1944, aged 26 years.

Harry was the son of Harry and Sarah Ann Moore; and the husband of Gladys Ada Moore, of Whitwick, Leicestershire, and was laid to rest in Ranville War Cemetry (Calvados, France). Grave IA.D.8.

The inscription on his headstone reads:

‘To the world only one.  To us all the world. Sadly missed. Loving wife and son.’
